  Ruth Ella Peterson, 63, Bakersville, died Jan. 7, 2008, at Somerset Hospital. Born Aug.
 4, 1944, in Somerset, the daughter of the late Charles W. and Evelyn F. (Burket) Ash.
 Survived by husband, Richard F. Peterson Sr., to whom she was married 42 years; daughter,
 Brenda, married to Barry Romesberg, Rockwood; sons, Richard Jr., Charles and Robert, all
 of Bakersville; and eight grandchildren. Sister of Janet Walker and Wilma Stahl, both of
 Bakersville; Betty St. Clair, Boswell; James Ash, Sipesville; and Donald Ash,
 Bakersville; also numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church,
 Bakersville, Bakersville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and a graduate of Somerset High
 School. She was employed as a cook at Oakhurst Tea Room for 23 years. Friends received 2
 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, Somerset, and
 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, the time of service, at the Mount Zion Lutheran Church,
 Bakersville. The Rev. Elisa Osman officiating. Interment in Bakersville Cemetery
