Born Aug. 28, 1921 in Altoona, daughter of Charles Francis and Ella (Dull) Strawmyer. Preceded in death by parents, husband Chester Frederick Pfeffer, who died May 12, 1993, brothers, Merle Stackhouse and Bub Strawmyer and sister, Edna Finn. Survived by children; Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Gibson of Canton, Ga., and Keith F. Pfeffer of Clearwater, Fla.; grandchildren, Steve Gibson and wife Mikki of Cumming, Ga., and Bruce Gibson and wife Merrill of Canton, Ga.; and great-granddaughters, Sofia and Madison Gibson. Sister of Mrs. Bonnie Salerno of Mechanicsburg, and Howard Strawmyer of Shippensburg. Member of Christ Casebeer, Lutheran Church and Trinity Chapter 138 OES. A 1940 gradrate of Altoona High School. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Rev. Dennis L. Doebler officiating.
