  Amanda Irene Philipp, 96, of Somerset, died Dec. 22, 2003; in the
  Somerset Hospital.  Born March 28, 1907, in Straw Pump, Pa., a
  daughter of the late Michael and Elvira (Gongaware) Lenhart.  In
  addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Otto,
  son Edward Otto Philipp and a brother Robert Lenhart.  Surviving are
  three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  Friends will be
  received at the Beatty-Rich Funeral Home, Route 136, Madison, on
  Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, the Rev.
  Kenneth Bossart officiating.  Interment will follow in the Brush Creek
  Cemetery, Hempfield Township.
