Phillippi, 85, RD 1, Hyndman, formerly of Somerset, died Sunday at Bedford, Pa. Born in Somerset, May 18, 1902, he was the son of the late John and Cora (Shaulis) Phillippi. He is survived by his wife, the former M. Mae Shaffer; two sons: J. Stanley, Mesa, Ariz.; and Ray O., Johnstown; daughter, Mae Jean Kennedy, Hyndman; eight grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. He was a retired carman for the Pittsburgh division of the B&O Railroad, a member of the Hyndman United Methodist Church, and Hyndman Blue Lodge No. 589, F&AM. Visiting hours 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Joseph R. Stains officiating. Interment, Hyndman Cemetery.
