Born Aug. 10, 1921, in Somerset, she is the daughter of the late John C. and Mabel (Snyder) Schrader. Also preceded in death by her husband, James B. Phillippi, sisters, Ruth Brant and Jean McVicker and a brother John Schrader Jr. Survived by children, Dr. James P. Phillippi, with whom she resided, Somerset; Mrs. David (Sandra) Kusch and Mrs. Ray (Sherry) Carpenter, both of Rockwood; grandchildren, Jeffrey Deveney, Dennis and Rodney Carpenter, Kori Halverson, Tina Greig, David Kusch and Kristi Lucabaugh; 13 great-grandchildren. Sister of Glenn Schrader and Mary Ellen Baker both of Somerset. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her protective pet dog Lucy. Member of Christ United Methodist Church of Rockwood where she had taught Sunday school for 60 years. Retired from the Somerset County Home and Rockwood Insurance. Friends received from 1 to 3 p.m. the time of service on Saturday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. The Rev. Randall Bain will officiate. Interment in Rockwood IOOF Cemetery.
