Phlllippi, 92, of Donwed, Saskatchewan, Canada, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 1975, in Canora Union Hospital, where he had been a patient since October. Born April 18, 1882, in Milford Township, he was a son of the late Jacob S. and Susan (Boose) Phillippi. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Mlnnie Lephart, in 1971: also three brothers and two sisters. Surviving are a son, Ralph, of Donwell, Canada; three daughters, Mrs. Otto Barschel, of Winnipeg, Manitoba; Mrs. Marvin Sine, Blue Ridge Summit, Pa.: and Mrs. Harry Street, Sllver Spring, Md.; also six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Phillippi spent his early life in the Rockwood community. In 1907 he went to Canada to homestead in the Donwell district, and returned to Rockwood in 1914, when he married Minnie Lephart. Following their marriage, they went to his homestead. Funeral service was held last Saturday in Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home is Somerset, with Bev. C. L. Rummel officiating.
