   John R. Phillippi Sr., 71, Wilbur, died Nov. 25, 2007, at Somerset Hospital. Born Nov.
  30, 1935, in Hooversville, son of Daniel and Wilma (Baker) Phillippi. Preceded in death
  by parents; stepfather, Elmer Hause Sr.; sister, Phyllis Walters and brother, Daniel.
  Survived by his wife of 51 years, the former Donna Shroyer; children, Pamela, married to
  Archie Walters, Seward; Kathleen, married to James Harbaugh, Robertsdale; and John Jr.,
  married to the former Melissa Shaffer, Boswell; seven grandchildren and three
  great-grandchildren. Brother of Ernest, Hooversville; Geraldine Cottle, Ohio; and Agnes
  Hause, Garrett; stepbrother of Elmer Hause Jr., Everett; Ida Smith, Boswell; and Barry
  Hause, Stoystown. He was retired from Hoffman Nursery, Stoystown. He enjoyed woodworking,
  tinkering with cars and trucks and gardening. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.
  Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville, where service
  will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. John E. Eash officiating. Interment, Otterbein
  Cemetery, Wilbur.
