 PHILLIPPI, Neal Gerald 03/16/08 Daily American
 
  Neal Gerald Phillippi, 65, Chesapeake, Va., passed away, March 9, 2008, at Maryview
 Medical Center, Portsmouth, Va. due to a heart condition. Born on April 16, 1942, the son
 of Oran and Ada Leazier Phillippi, Somerset. He was predeceased by a sister, Eleanor
 Nicholson, Somerset. He leaves behind a son, Christopher Phillippi and wife Regina; two
 daughters, Karyn Belardi and husband, Richard, and Kim Morrison and husband, Louis; and
 two grandchildren, Jessie and Jamie Leydig; all of Somerset. Other survivors include a
 brother, Oran Phillippi and wife, Phyllis, Monroe, Ga.; and a sister, Connie Hetrick,
 Pennsylvania. Neal will be greatly missed by family and friends. Neal spent many years in
 the hospitality industry in Pennsylvania and Arizona, ultimately in managerial positions
 at resorts in Phoenix. For the past 24 years his passion and career had been in animal
 care in Chesapeake, where he bred and showed many AKC champions. Cremation & Funeral
