  PHILLIPPI, ROBERT ERNEST
  
  Robert Ernest Phillippi, 78, Somerset, died July 8, 2004, at Hollidaysburg
  Veterans Home in Hollidaysburg.  He was born Sept. 14, 1925, in Somerset
  Township, a son of Harvey D. Phillippi and Edna Stella (Coleman)
  Phillippi.  Preceded in death by parents; sister, Mary Catherine "Peg"
  Keeler; and brother, John Phillippi.  He is survived by his wife of 55
  years, the former Elda Arbuta (Menser); children: Mrs. Daniel C (Arbuta E.)
  Dill, Jerome; Mrs. Davd C. (Holly J.) Gaskell, Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. Marc
  (Robin) Lechevalier, York; Kevin R. Phillippi, married to the former
  Christine Borg, Calimesa, Calif; and Mrs. Randolph (Julie) Rush,
  Cairnbrook; grandchildren: Erin, Adam and Janelle Dill; Peter and Paul
  Lechevalier; Mark, Andrew and Adam Phillippi, Benjamin, Nathan and Joshua
  Rush.  Brother of Mrs. June Martin, Scottsdale, Ariz., and James Philippi,
  Penn Hills.  Member of Reading Grace Brethren Church.  Had worked for
  Bethlehem Steel Johnstown Works from 1950 to 1965.  Also worked as a
  Somerset Bus Co. driver from 1965 to 1972.  A U.S. Navy veteran of World
  War II.  Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the
  Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be conducted 10
  a.m. Monday.  The Rev. Larry Weigle officiating.  Interment St. Johns
  Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to Reading Grace Brethren Church, 3349
  Stoystown Road, Stoystown, Pa. 15563.  Graveside military rites accorded by
  the Somerset County Honor Guard.
