  PHILLIPPI
  
  Robert D. Phillippi, 77, of Sanner Road, Rockwood, went to be with
  the Lord on July 23, 2001, at Somerset Hospital.  Born Jan. 19, 1924,
  in Black Township. Son of the late John and Sadie (Knopsnyder)
  Phillippi.  Preceded in death by parents; wife Ann in 1998; brothers
  Dan, Clyde, Elmer, Roy, Orville, Fred, Earl and Charles; sisters
  Leora May and Irene Younkin; an infant sibling; and three
  grandchildren.  Survived by children Mary, married to Bruce Ohler Sr.,
  Beverly, married to Chester Baker Jr., John, married to Brenda
  Phillippi, and Ronald, married to Barbara Phillippi, all of Rockwood,
  and Linda, married to Paul Woods Jr., of Somerset; 13 grandchildren
  and 17 great-grandchildren.  Brother of Pearl Klink of Rockwood. He
  was a retired sawyer who worked at various local saw mills.  He was a
  veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II and a member of
  the Rockwood American Legion.  Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m.
  Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home,
  Rockwood, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Rev.
  Patrick Walsh officiating.  Interment, Laurel Cemetery, Rockwood.
