  Verne E. Phillippi, 92, Somerset RD 5, died Feb. 5, 1990, in
  Allegheny General Hospital.  Born May 10, 1897, in Ursina, son of late
  Harvey and Christianna Jamison Phillippi.  Preceded in death by wife,
  Vivian Mae Rhoads; sister, Mrs. Vida Cramer.  Survived by daughter,
  Mrs. Ruth Miller, Somerset RD 5; granddaughter, Mrs. Terry (Linda)
  Bruner, Somerset RD 6; brother, Clifford, Somerset RD 5.  Member of
  Pleacant Hill United Methodist Church, Lodge 358 and Jaffa Shrine.
  U.S. Army veteran of World War I.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m.
  Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Gauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday,
  Rev. David Jack officiating.  Interment, Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
  Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in funeral home.  Contributions
  may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Building Fund,
  Friedens RD 1 15541.
