She was born September 16, 1900, in Somerset, a daughter of Laurence and Annie (Brubaker) Phillips. She was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Brubaker Phillips. She was a member of the Calvary Methodist Church, Somerset; served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Somerset Community Hospital; was a member of the Somerset Community Hospital Ladies Auxiliary; and she was executive secretary to the Somerset Tuberculosis and Health Assn. She graduated from Somerset High School and she also graduated from a short library course at Penn State. She was a graduate of the Jefferson Hospital of Nursing, and she was employed as a private duty nurse at Jefferson Hospital. Burial will be in Somerset with local arrangements by the Richard E.
