  PHILLIPS
  
  Edith E. Phillips, 79, of Confluence died Jan. 9, 1996, at Somerset
  Hospital.  Born Dec. 3, 1916, in Bidwell, Fayette County.  A daughter
  of the late Emerson and Emma Catherine (Burnworth) Kemp.  Also
  preceded in death by her husband, Harry; seven brothers: Russell,
  Robert, Jesse, John, James, Gilbert and Ralph, and two sisters: Sara
  Wiltrout and Ethel Miller.  Survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces
  and great-nephews.  Friends will be received from 2 until 9 p.m. today
  at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where services will be held
  at 11 a.m. Thursday, Rev. Ralph Landis officiating.  Interment, Maple
  Summit Cemetery.
