  Evelyn B. Phillips, 78, Gray, died the evening of Nov. 26, 1984, in
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Aug. 21, 1906, in Somerset,
  daughter of William and Binnie (Halp) Racey.  Preceded in death by
  parents; husband, George H. Sr., who died July 30, 1964; two infant
  daughters: Yvonne and Carol Ann; two sisters: Florence and Rose; also
  several infant brothers.  Survived by these children: Beatrice, Sarah,
  Anita Alkire, all at home; George Jr., married to the former Bonnie
  O'Neil, West Farmington, Ohio; Roy A., married to the former Sandra
  Shroyer, Stoystown RD 2; seven grandchildren; three foster
  grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.  Sister of: Nell Koger,
  Akron, Ohio; and Homer, Winchester, Va. Life-long member of First
  United Methodist Church, Somerset.  Also member of Laurel Mountain
  Senior Citizens and Auxiliary to Jennerstown Volunteer Fire
  Department.  Friends received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday and 2-4 and 7-9
  p.m. Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell,
  where, service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Percy
  Ellenberger officiating.  Interment, Beam Cemetery.
