Phillips, 87, of Peach Street, Jenners, died Sept. 27, 1998, at home. Born Dec. 26, 1910, in Westmoreland County. Son of William G. and Betsy (Wright) Phillips. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Alice Irene Will, on May 6, 1992; three brothers, George, Millard and Alfred; and two sisters, Thelma Cidor and Sarah Franke. Survived by daughter Marie Shebaugh of Taylor, Pa.; sons Edmund Earl, Stoystown RD 3, and William James Kimmelton, 10 grandchildren; seven greatgrandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Brother of Florence Mongelluzzo, Towson, Md., and Betty Moskal, Willoughby, Ohio. Member of Reading Grace Brethren Church, Stoystown RD, UMWA, DAV, American Legion and the VFW Distinguished Supporters. Army veteran of World War II. Coal miner for over 45 years. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, the Rev.
