  Marion L. Phillips, 90, of Somerset, formerly of Stoystown RD 3
  (Kimmelton) died Jan. 12, 1995, at Patriot Manor.  Born Aug. 11, 1904,
  in Quemahoning Township, daughter of Lewis E. and Annie (Lahr)
  Shaffer.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Alfred Sr.;
  daughters, Dorothy and Hazel; grandchildren, Rodney Phillips and
  Colleen Beal; sisters, Betty Constable and Hazel Shaffer, and
  brothers: William, Ernie, Chester, Bert, Nevin, and Merle Shaffer.
  Survived by children: Floyd, married to the former Kathryn Croyle,
  Stoystown RD 2; Clyde "Bud," married to the former Jean Bowers, and
  Alfred Jr., married to the former Mary Louise Dimanno, both of
  Stoystown RD 3, and Mrs. Charles (Betty) Beal of Friedens RD 2; also
  10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 10
  great-great-grandchildren.  Sister of Ray Shaffer, Stoystown RD 3;
  Ruth "Sis" Homer and Charles "Boots" Shaffer, both of Friedens;
  Margaret Spangler and Lewis R. Shaffer, both of Somerset, and Irene
  Herwig of Elyria, Ohio.  Member of Mostoller United Methodist Church.
  Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at
  Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown.  Viewing from 1 p.m. until service at
  2 p.m. Saturday at Mostoller United Methodist Church, Kimmelton, Rev.
  David Jack.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.  Memorial
  contributions may be given to Mostoller U.M. Church, RD 3 Stoystown,
  Pa: 15563.
