Born May 1, 1940, in Blacksville, W.Va. Daughter of the late Samuel L. and Elizabeth (Wise) Moore. Survived by her husband, George Armstrong Phillips, to whom she was married 36 years; children: Ms. Connie L. Stevens, Grafton, W.Va.; Mrs. Thurston T. (Teresa) Martin, Somerset RD 5; Mrs. Matthew C. (Michelle "Mickey") Coddington, Friedens RD 1. Six grandchildren: Mandy, Jennifer and Zachary Stevens, Christine Martin, Austin and Malorie Coddington. Sister of Mrs. Donald (Catherine) Powell, Spraggs, W.Va. A 1958 graduate of Claybattel High School and attended Fairmont (W.Va.) State College. Member of Somerset County Lady Shepherds, and had been a leader for Steaks and Chops 4-H Club and lifetime member of Somerset FFA. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Roger L. Forry officiating.
