Philson, 82, a former resident of Somerset Co., died Saturday at her home in Omaha, Neb., where she had been residing for the past 25 years. She was a daughter of Jacob and Rose (Daum) Stoner and was born in Somerset County on May 22, 1859. Her husband, J. Platt Philson, died a number of years ago. Surviving are three children: Richard Philson, Omaha, Neb.; Rose, wife of H. H. Henningson, Omaha, and Cora, wife of A. M. Russell, Houston, Tex. The remains were removed to the Johnson Funeral Home in Berlin where services were conducted Tuesday afternoon by Rev. Charles W. Hanko, pastor of the Berlin Methodist Church. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, May 14, 1942
