  PHILSON
  
  Florence E. Philson, White Star Village, Jennerstown, died June 24,
  1984, at Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.  Born in New Baltimore,
  daughter of Speer O. and Sarah C. (May) Philson.  Preceded in death by
  parents; five sisters: Maude Harcleroad, Leafy Lohr, Pauline Hammer,
  Dorothea Lowry and Mary Griffith; two brothers: John L. and William
  R.  Survived by one sister, Zora M. Philson, at home; also
  sister-in-law, Mary L. Philson, Jennerstown; niece, Eleanor Sann;
  nephews: Hillard M. Griffith, Robert L. Lohr, Dr. John R. Philson and
  the Rev. Louis P. Youngren.  Member of Mt. Laurel United Church of
  Christ; former partner in White Star Hotel, Jennerstown; and along
  with brothers William and John and sister Zora, operated the hotel
  for 50 years.  Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at
  Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny St., Boswell, where service will
  be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Joseph M. Beer, the Rev.
  Jesse E. Wolf officiating.  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
