Picadio, 78, of 845 West Garrett St., Somerset, died Aug. 25, 1989, at the Bethlen Nursing Ligonier, Pa. Born March 17, 1911, in Acosta, son the late Antonio and Maria (Pilia) Picadio. Preceded in death by a brother, George. Survived by his wife of 26 years, the former Josephine Polefrone; a daughter, Mrs. William (Terry) Pifalo of Hickory Hill, Somerset; two brothers and two sisters: Pete and Michael, Mary Picadio and Madeline Ridilla, all of Ligonier; and a number of nieces and nephews. Former owner-operator of Picadio Beer Distributorship in Somerset; member of the Elks of Meyersdale; Somerset American Legion and VFW; the Moose Club of Somerset; the Somerset Fire Department and Somerset Country Club. World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. Former fund drive chairman for the American Red Cross and a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church. Friends will be received Monday, 10 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, followed by Mass of Resurrection Monday at 1 p.m. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church.
