  PIERSOL
  
  Mary E. Piersol, 102, of Friedens RD 1, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 1984,
  at 4:15 a.m. in Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Feb. 9, 1882, in
  Perry Township, Fayette County, daughter of the late Albert and
  Margaret (Hormell) Piersol.  Graduate of the University of Pittsburgh
  and a member of the Pi Lambda Theta National Honor Association in
  Education.  Retired schoolteacher, she taught in the Connellsville,
  Monongahela and Edgewood School districts.  Survived by several nieces
  and nephews.  Made her home with her nephew, William B. and Elizabeth
  Piersol of Friedens RD 1.  Friends will be received in the
  Blair-Lowther Funeral Home, Inc., Perryopolis today (Friday) and
  Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where services will be held Sunday at
  2 p.m., the Rev. Gordon W. Whitney officiating.  Interment,
  Bowman-Flatwoods Cemetery, Vanderbilt RD 1.
