  PIERSOL
  
  William Bennett Piersol, 83, of Friedens RD 1, died Nov. 10 1996, at
  Somerset Hospital.  Born Dec. 26, 1912, in Belle Vernon.  Son of the
  late Samuel Watson and Olive (Kell) Piersol.  Also preceded in death
  by a brother, Albert Piersol, and two sisters: Margaret Dowler and
  Sarah Ow.  Survived by wife, the former Elizabeth Ann Merrill, to whom
  he was married 16 years, and a sister, Miss Ruth Kell Piersol, Apple
  Valley, Calif.  Also survived by two nieces and one nephew and a
  number of cousins, including Mrs. Constance (Piersol) Mori of
  Wadsworth, Ohio.  A 1930 graduate of Burgettstown High School and had
  attended the University of Pittsburgh.  Retired accountant for U.S.
  Steel Corp., Donora Plant.  Was a Somerset Township farmer.  Member of
  St. Paul's Presbyterian Church of Somerset.  Friends will be received
  2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where
  services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Keith M.
  Fink officiating.  Interment, Bowman-Flatwoods Cemetery.  Contributions
  may be made to Humane Society of Somerset, P.O. Box 182, Somerset, Pa.
  15501 or to St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, 182 East Union St.,
  Somerset, Pa. 15501.
