  PIFER
  
  Miss Nellie Belle Pifer, 75, of E. Sanner St., Somerset, died March
  14, 1979, at Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Sept. 28, 1903, in
  Somerset Township, daughter of Samuel and Catherine Ann (Bailey)
  Pifer.  Preceded in death by parents, four brothers and three sisters.
  Survived by two sisters: Miss Annie D. and Mrs. Nora E. Day, both of
  Somerset.  Member of Grace United Methodist Church, Beacon Bible Class
  and a retired employee of the former Somerset County Laundry.  Friends
  will be received after 7 p.m. Thursday at the Robert H. Halverson
  Funeral Home, where service will be conducted Saturday at 1:30 p.m.,
  the Rev. Ted Cole officiating.  Interment, St. John's Cemetery.
