  Bernice Pile, 91, of Berlin, formerly of Friedens, died Feb. 22,
  2002, at Meadow View Nursing Center.  Born Aug. 1, 1910 in Madera,
  daughter of Harry and Edith (Crain) Fitzgerald, Preceded in death by:
  parents; husband Wilbert "Dutch," daughter Judith Pile Mankamyer,
  sisters, Alice Holtzendorff and Delores Page, brothers: Edward and
  Aaron "Rusty" Fitzgerald.  Survived by a son-in-law David L. Mankamyer
  of Friedens; grandchildren: D. Alan Mankamyer married to the former C.
  Susan Berger of Davidsville; Kelly, married to Kelly D. Lohr of
  Friedens, and Chris Mankamyer of Atlanta, Ga.  Also a
  great-granddaughter Kady J. Lohr. Sister of Mary Shaffer of Missouri,
  Evelyn Oakman of Ohio, Thomas and Eugene Fitzgerald, both of Friedens.
  Member of Friedens Lutheran Church.  Family will receive friends from 7
  to 9 p.m. Monday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will
  be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday.  Rev. Edward V. DeVore officiating.
  Interment, Friedens Lutheran Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be
  given to the American Cancer Society, 168 W. Union St. Somerset, Pa.
