(Joe) Pile, 85, of West Race Street, Somerset, died Oct. 20, 1975, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born July 13, 1890, in Friedens, a son of the late Cyrus and Julia (Hoffman) Pile. He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Elsie Schrock; two brothers and a sister. He is survived by his widow, the former Pearl Ogline; and two daughters, Mrs. L. K. (Ruby) Palmer of Mechanicsville. Va.. and Mrs. Aldo (Ruth) Sicheri of Quecreek; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He was a brother of: Mrs. Eva Shaver, Berlin; Mrs. Marian Hensel, Friedens; Mrs. Sidney Simpson, Phoenix, Arix.; Orville E. of Friedens. Member of the Brothersvalley Church of the Brethren. He was a retired farmer and former Somerset Township Supervisor and a member of the F.O.E. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Owen Preston and the Rev. John Cox officiating. Interment, Rayman Church Cemetery.
