Pile, 88, of Allegheny Lutheran Home, Johnstown, formerly of Shanksville, died Aug. 23, 1985, at the Allegheny Lutheran Home. She was born June 8, 1897, in Stonycreek Township, the daughter of the late John and Jennie (Ringler) Zeigler. She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters. Survived by her husband, Homer M. and these children: Jay J., married to Winifred Lohr, LaVale, Md.; Ray D. of LaVale, Md.; Fred L., married to Martha McDonald, Johnstown; Mrs. William (Doris L) Friedline, Somerset RD 2; Paul E., married to Diane Duppstadt, Stoystown RD 2; Harold R., married to Emma Mostoller, Friedens RD 2; 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Martha Layman, Somerset. She was a member of the Friedens Lutheran Church. Death ends marriage of 65 years. Friends will be received 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Friedens Lutheran Church, with the Rev. James Ling officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
