Pile, 69, of 14407 Walnut Loop, Greencastle, Pa., died June 3, 1995, at Chambersburg Hospital. Born Jan. 22, 1926, in Stoystown. Daughter of the late Guy and Gladys (Lambert) Zimmerman. Survived by her husband of 48 years, Cletus E. Pile; son, Alan L., married to the former Jean Piper of Mill Creek; daughter, Diane K., Gaithersburg, Md., and grandsons, Ryan and Shane. Sister of Thomas M. Zimmerman, married to the former Joy Zimmerman, of Stoystown. Graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. After graduation, she taught English in Somerset County and Bedford County school districts. She taught history from 1964 until 1987 in Greencastle-Antrim School District. She was a member of National Education Association, Pennsylvania State Education Association, and national AARP. Active member of State Line United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Harold M. Zimmerman and Son Funeral Home, Greencastle, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown. Viewing from 12:30 p.m. until services at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Friedens Lutheran Church, Rev. James R. Ling. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
