Piper, 91, formerly of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1998, at the Atrium Nursing Home, Pittsburgh. Beulah L. Aurandt was born Sept. 3, 1906, in Lilly. She married Martin C. Piper on June 22, 1927. He predeceased her on April 26, 1985. Beulah was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. Surviving are one son and one daughter: Clyde J. Piper, Tryon, N.C., and Shirley Jane Nadeja, Pittsburgh; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Beulah was an active member of the L.C.W. and Firemen's Auxiliary. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury, with Pastor David Fetter officiating. Interment, Alto-Reste Memorial Park, Altoona. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md., when the family will be present. There will be no visitation at the church prior to the service.
