"Mooney" Piper, 64, of Jenners, dead on arrival May 27, 1978, at Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. Born March 10, 1914, in Jenner Township, Somerset County, the son of Henry and Lydia (Keyser) Piper. Preceded in death by parents; infant son; sister Mrs. Mrytle Bittner; brothers Harry, Elmer, Jacob and Walter. Survived by widow, the former Mae Peterson; daughters, Linda M., at home, and Lois K., wife of John Emerick, Boswell RD 1; and three grandchildren. Army veteran of World War II and served in the Phillipines. Retired employee of Somerset Foundry with 20 years service. Friends were received Monday evening and will be received until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Joseph G. Hoffman Funeral Home, 409 Main St., Boswell, where service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev.
