Galiczynski-Pipta, 58, of 93 School Avenue in Jerome, died Dec. 21, 1877, at home. She was born Dec. 11, 1919, in Jerome, a daughter of Michael J. and Helen Kostival Stetz. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter; brothers Michael and George, who was killed in World War II; first husband, John Galiczynski; and an infant granddaughter. She is survived by her husband, Charles Pipta, Jr.; a daughter, Barbara, wife of Nick Mastillo of Holsopple RD 1; and two sons, Richard Thomas and Mark Andrew, both at home; also these step-children: Edward Pipta of Belleglades, Florida; Mrs. Felicia Kuna of McHenry, Illinois; and Mrs. Laura Mull of Folsom, California; nine step-grandchildren; and two grandchildren. She was a sister of: John A., married to the former Elizabeth Phillips; Paul J., Sr., married to the former Almeda McDaniel; Helen E., wife of Leo Baranik; and Mary K., wife of Steve Skero, all of Jerome; and Steven M., married to the former Helen Fendessy of Hamburg, New York. She was a member of: S.S. Peter and Paul's Byzantine Catholic Church in Jerome; auxiliary to Jerome American Legion; auxiliary to Jerome Fire Company; Greek Catholic Union Lodge 574 and First Catholic Slovak Union 524. Friends will be received from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny Street, in Boswell, where prayer service will be held at 8:15 a.m. Monday; followed by funeral mass at 9 a.m. at S.S. Peter and Paul's Church in Jerome with the Rev. Thomas Gran officiating. Interment, church cemetery. Daily American, December 23, 1977 [G0014]
