Preceded in death by p a r e n t s ; wife of 51 years, the former Rose Mary Makar on July 23, 2002; and daughter, Judith Rininger on Dec. 27, 2004. Survived by these chil- dren: Sharon, married to Gregg Murawsky, Altoona; Gary, Asheville, N.C.; Robert, married to former Dora Kosisky, Elizabethtown, Ky.; and Patty, married to Michael Steeves, Jerome; grandchildren, Michael and Chad Rininger, Mandy and Matt Murawsky, Allyson and Isaac Pipta, Terra and Stephanie Straka and Evan Steeves; sister, Margaret, married to Joseph Cavalier, New York; brother, Henry G., married to the former Elaine McCarthy, Montgomery, Texas; and son-in-law, Jim Rininger, Jerome. Graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School. Army vet- eran of World War II. Retired employee of U.S. Steel. Member of SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Jerome; Jerome Post 802, American Legion; Hollsopple Post 8861, VFW; Jenner Rod and Gun Club; and Somerset County Old-Timers Baseball Association. Former board member for Conemaugh Township School District. Number one fan of all Conemaugh Township High School sports, especially bas- ketball. Avid hunter, fisher- man and bowler. In his earlier years, Charlie also loved to go dancing with his wife, Rose. Family would like to thank the staff of Asera Care and Country Manor for all their special care given to their dad. A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville, where Parastas will be held 7:30 p.m. Friday and Panachida will be held 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Divine funeral liturgy 10 a.m. Saturday at SS. Peter and Paul Church. The Rev. Father Gregory J. Michalisin, cele- brant. Interment, church cemetery. Graveside military rites by Menoher Post 155 VFW.
