Born June 21, 1925, in Johnstown, daughter of Stephen and Mary (Soska) Makar. Preceded in death by parents, brother John and sister Catherine Janakovic. Survived by husband Charles R., children: Judy, married to Jim Rininger, Jerome; Sharon married to Gregg Murawsky of Altoona; Gary of Asheville, N.C., Robert, married to the former Dora Kosisky, Elizabethtown, Ky., and Patty married to Michael Steeves of Jerome. Wonderful and loving Nana to Michael and Chad Rininger; Mandy and Matt Murawsky, Allyson and Isaac Pipta, Terra and Stephanie Straka, and Evan Steeves. Also survived by mother-in-law Julia M. Pipta, Holbrook, N.Y., brothers-and-sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Jerome, Jerome Post 802 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Jerome Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and Somerset County Oldtimers Basebal Association. A 1944 graduate of Johnstown High School. Would have observed 52nd wedding anniversary Aug. 12, 2002.
