  DOROTHY I. PIRKEY
  
  Dorothy Irene Pirkey, 66, of 403 Beall Street, Cumberland, Md., died
  Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1987, in Memorial Hospital.  She was born April 1,
  1921 in Hyndman, daughter of the late William N. and Blanche O.
  (Madden) Burley.  She was a former employee of the Celanese
  Corporation and was a member of Cook's Mill Chapel Church, Hyndman.
  Her husband was the late Kenneth H. Pirkey.  Survivors include one
  son, Arthur K. Hoy, Hyndman; three brothers: George W. Burley,
  Hyndman RD 1; Clyde A. Burley, Corriganville, Md.; and Kenneth L.
  Burley, Ellerslie, Md.; two sisters: Edna M. McCray, Mount Savage RD
  1, Md.; and Miss Charlotte Burley, Hyndman RD 1; and numerous nieces
  and Friends were received in the Scarpelli Funeral Home, where
  services were conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. by the Rev. Joseph Stains.
  Interment, Merest Burial Park.
