Emerson Pirl, 93, of Ravenna Township, Ohio, died April 3, 1995 at the Portage County Nursing Home in Shalersville, Ohio. Born Sept. 29, 1901 in Everson, he was the son of Daniel and Ann (Johnson) Pirl. He had lived in Ravenna Township since 1939. Mr. Pirl was employed by Twin Coach Company in Kent, Ohio, as a production worker for 29 years. He also worked at Highway Products Company in Kent for 10 years, then worked for Falcon Oil in Ravenna for five years until he retired. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Ravenna. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Marie (Baer), formerly of Meyersdale, whom he married in 1938; a daughter, Louise Mildred Holland of Brady Lake, Ohio; two grandchildren; brother, Eugene of Hazel Park, Mich.; and sisters, Mrs. Carl (Annabell) Maginity of Hampton, Va., Nancy Hackett and Florence Lytle, both of Laguna Hills, Calif. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Jesse, and a sister, Ada Sanderson. Services were held April 8 in the chapel at First United Methodist Church of Ravenna, with the Rev.
