Born July 10, 1917, in Somerset County, son of the late Steve and Anna (Kovdik) Plaso. Also preceded in death by one brother, John, and one sister, Anna Trella. Survived by his wife, Mary (Migot); one daughter, Kathy A., at home; one sister, Mary Wagner, of Cleveland, Ohio; brothers: Joe of Streetsboro, Ohio, and Mike of Lakewood, Calif. Member of All Saints Chapel, Acosta (formerly St. John's Roman Catholic Church). Veteran of World War II. Member of Somerset VFW Post 554. He was a retired coal miner and member of the UMW of A. Retired from GM&W Coal Co., Jennerstown. Formerly employed by Uptegraff Co. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where wake service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Wednesday at All Saints Chapel, Acosta, Rev. Father Blase Wegierski OFM Cov.
