  Henry S. Platt Sr., 85, Berlin, died June 11, 1987, at Maple Mountain
  Manor.  He was born April 19, 1902, in Berlin, son of Frederick and
  Hannah (Johns) Platt.  Preceded in death by parents; his wife, the
  former Goldie Fritz, in 1986; a son, M/Sgt. Donald, in 1952; three
  sisters; and two brothers.  He is survived by these children: Mrs.
  Clarence (Catherine) Landis, Berlin RD 3; Henry Jr., married to the
  former Shirley Martin, San Antonio, Texas; Mrs. Harold (Mary)
  Bittner, Berlin RD 3; Charles, married to the former Delma Seifert,
  Richard, married to the former Evelyn Harkom, Mrs. Robert (Bernadine)
  "Dolly" Glotfelty, all of Berlin; and James, married to the former
  Eula Bryant, Petersburg, Va.; 30 grandchildren; 54
  great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.  He was the
  brother of Mrs. Mabel Hepler, Berlin; Mrs. Ethel Miller, Meyersdale
  RD 3; and Frank, Sanford, Fla.  He was the sexton of Berlin I.O.O.F.
  Cemetery for many years and was a member of the First Brethren Church
  of Berlin.  Friends will be received 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the
  Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services will be held at
  1:30 p.m. Sunday, the Rev. Ralph E. Mills officiating.  Interment,
  Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
