Wesley Platt, 82, of Ripon, Calif., formerly of Berlin, died Jan. 11, 1973, in Ripon. He was the son of the late Fred and Hannah Platt of Berlin. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Harriet Matthews Platt, in 1969. He is survived by children Leland of Stockton, Calif.; Enid Linford and Alvar of Ripon, Calif.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Charles Platt of Shanksville; Frank Platt of Sangford, Fla.; Henry Platt of Berlin; Mrs. Rose Boyer of Berlin; Mrs. Mable Hepler of Berlin; Mrs. Ethel Miller of Meyersdale RD; Mrs. Emily May of Akron, Ohio; and Mrs. Pauline Sanner of North Canton, Ohio. He held pastorates in Conemaugh; in Manteca, Calif., for 41 years; and in Lathrop, Calif., at the time of his retirement several years ago, after more than 50 years in the ministry. Born in Berlin, he was a member of the Berlin Brethren Church and a graduate of Ashland College, Ashland, Ohio. Daily American, 13 January 1973 [P0633]
