  Marie Platt, 77, of East Mud Pike, Berlin, died Oct. 20, 1997, at
  home.  Born May 6, 1920, in Somerset Township.  Daughter of Albert and
  Sadie Sarver and Ezra and Myrtle Stull.  Preceded in death by parents
  and stepparents; brothers Henry, Elwood and Harry Sarver.  Survived by
  her husband of 59 years, Ray E., and these children: Fae, married to
  Albert Kurtz, and Dale, both of Somerset; Carl, married to former
  Virginia Baer, of Berlin; Nancy, married to Frank Kimmel, of Fairfax,
  Va.; Jean, married to Blaine Lowry, of Manheim, Pa.; Linda, married to
  Forrest Weikle, of Gainesville, Va., and Sandy, married to Bob
  Younkin, of Rockwood; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
  Sister of Leora Kaufman of Somerset.  Member of Brothersvalley Church
  of the Brethren.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
  Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held
  at 1 p.m. Thursday. with Rev. Timothy E. Resh officiating.  Interment,
  Brotherton Pike Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given to
  Brothersvalley Church of the Brethren, Berlin, Pa., 15530.
