  Virginia "Billie" Platt, 75, died May 25, 1999, in Stow, Ohio.  Born
  in Grantsville, Md., Dec. 20, 1923.  She had lived in the Stow area
  for the past 47 years and was a member of Holy Family Catholic
  Church, where she was active in many ways of service.  Preceded in
  death by parents, James B. and Victoria Broadwater VanGilder and
  brother Donald VanGilder.  She is survived by her husband of 56 years,
  John W.; children, Robert (Barbara) Platt; Wanda (Harold) Dean; Mary
  Ann (Kenneth) Hopkins; John (Lisa) Platt; Krista (Tony) Ciccozzi;
  grandchildren Beth Platt; Jodi Dean; Heather and Josh Hopkins; Sarah
  Platt; and sister Olive Brode.  Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9
  p.m., Thursday, at Redmon Funeral Home in Stow.  Mass of the Christian
  Burial at 10 a.m., Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Stow.
  Burial Stow Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests
  memorials to Holy Family Capital Campaign, 3450 Sycamore Dr., Stow,
  Ohio, 44224, or to the American Cancer Society, 3250 W. Market
