  FOSTER L. PLATTER 
  
  Foster L. Platter, 65, of RD 2, Grantsville, Maryland, died Friday,
  October 26, 1984 at his residence.  Born in Jennings, Maryland, he was
  a son of the late Henry Platter Jr. and Annie J. (Handwerk) Platter.
  He was a farmer and was a member of the Bethesda Church of the
  Brethren, Star Route, Grantsville.  He is survived by his widow, the
  former Silvia Wilt: one son, Vernon Platter, Grantsville; three
  brothers, Austin Platter and Everett Platter, both of Grantsville;
  the Rev. Fenton Platter, Fincastle, Va.; three sisters, Mrs. Delphia
  Miner, Mrs. Leafie Ohler and Mrs. Carrie Lowery, all of Grantsville.
  Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, where
  services were conducted by the Rev. Connell Chaney.  Interment,
  Bittinger Cemetery.
