She was born May 17, 1932 in Hollsopple. Preceded in death by her mother, Ella Lehman; son, Mark; sister, Mary; niece, Rhoda; and sister-in-law, Miriam. Survived by her husband, Orvis Platter; son, Steven and wife Diane Schrader, Meyersdale. Also survived by three grandchildren: Steven Jr., Derek and Heather Schrader, Meyersdale; brother, Walter Moore, Thomas Mills and a number of nieces and nephews. She was retired from Somerset State Hospital, a member of Maple Glen Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed meeting people and the Wagon Train. Friends were received Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home. On Monday, she was taken to the Hostetler Church of the Brethren to lie in state from 10 to 11 a.m., time of service with Pastor Daniel Whitacre officiating. Interment in the Hostetler Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Johnstown Christian School in Hollsopple.
