Born March 5, 1926, in Frostburg, Md., she was the daughter of Victor C. and Pansy (Garlitz) Wilson, of Vienna, Va. She was a bookkeeper and a member of the Frostburg Church of the Nazarene; the Republic Women of Grantsville, Md.; was president of the Ladies Auxiliary of Gideons; president of the Nazarene World Missionary Society; and was a volunteer at the Western Maryland Food Bank. Surviving besides her parents are her husband, William V. Platter; two daughters: Diana L. Loar and Karen J. Dishong, Frostburg, Md.; two sons: Richard V. Platter, Delmar, Del.; and Jonathan W. Platter, Grantsville, Md.; four sisters: Charlotte W. Folk, Frostburg, Md.; Wilma J. Phillips, DeWitt, Va.; Sandra K. Price and Victoria R. Butler, Fairfax, Va.; one brother, Delbert Wilson, Miami, Fla.; and eight grandchildren. Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home in Frostburg, Md., where services vices were held Wednesday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Jack Peas. Interment, Grantsville Cemetery.
