  MRS. LULA PLATTER 
  
  Mrs. Lula Katherine Platter, 79, of Easton.  Formerly of Somerset
  County, died April 8, in Fountain Hill Manor Nursing Home, Easton.
  She was born Feb. 10, 1893.  In Black Township, the daughter of
  Matthew and Lydia (Christnet) Long.  She was preceded in death by her
  parents and a son, Forrest, in 1958.  Surviving are two grandchildren
  and two sisters, Mrs. Stella Cook and Mrs. Nellie Burkholder, Garrett
  RD 1.  Before moving to Easton in 1953, she worked at Somerset State
  Hospital.  Funeral service was held Wednesday morning in Johnson and
  Son Funeral Home, Berlin, with Rev. William Hay officiating.
  Interment in Somerset Memorial Park.
