  LUTHER PLATTER
  
  Dec. 3, 1923-May 21, 1999
  Luther Francis Platter, 75, of 49 Old Faith  Lane, Grantsville, Md.,
  died Friday, May 21, 1999, at Memorial Hospital in Cumberland, Md.
  Born Dec. 3, 1923, in Grantsville, he was a son of the late Irvin and
  Mintie (Durst) Platter.  He was a member of the Laughlin Church of the
  Brethren and was most recently employed as a custodian at Flushing
  Shirt Mfg. Co., Grantsville.  Mr. Platter is survived by his wife,
  Wilma A (Sell) Platter; a son, Harold E. Platter, Waynesburg; two
  daughters: Debra Holliday, Grantsville; and Rose Platter, a stepson,
  Roy D. Kinsinger of Rapid City, S.D.; a stepdaughter, Sandra
  Kinsinger of Grantsville; four sisters Orpha Wisseman, Hilda Younkin
  and Melva Platter, all of Grantsville; and Marie Willison, Eckhart,
  Md.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  Friends were
  received at Newman Funeral Homes, RA., Grantsville, on May 24.
  Services were conducted May 25 at the funeral home, with Rev. Ross
  Glotfelty officiating.  Interment, Grantsville Cemetery.
