(Arl) Pletcher, 80, of Rockwood RD 3 died Jan. 14, 1973, in Somerset Community Hospital. He was born May 30, 1892, in Scullton a son of Irvin and Linda (Geary) Pletcher. Survived by his wife, Ellsie (Gary) Pletcher of Rockwood RD 3; four sons: Clyde A. of Rockwood RD 2; Paul of Acme RD 1; E. Blaine of Rockwdod RD 3; and Roy J. of Rockwood RD 3; two daughters: Mrs. Ray (Treecy) Hechler of Rockwood RD 2; and Mrs. Edward (Shirley) King of Rockwood RD 3; two brothers: William of Lancaster: and John of Greensburg, Ohio; two sisters: Mrs. Ann McCoy of Lambert, Pa.; and Mrs. Ide Kalp of Mt. Pleasant; 21 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant son and two brothers, Ross and Elmer. He was a World War I veteran, member of Somerset Eagles and lifelong member of Wesley Chapel Church. Mr. and Mrs. Pletcher celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 6, 1972. Friends will be received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday (today) and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday where services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Doyle officiating.
