Pletcher, 72, of Rockwood RD 3, died March 19, 1984, at Memorial Hospital, Johnstown. He was born Jan. 10, 1912, in Scullton, son of the late Ross and Bertha (Ansell) Pletcher. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Hubert and Harold, and one sister, Marie. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, the former Zelma King; and the following children: Wilma M., at home; James E. and Larry E. (Beanie), Mrs. Floyd (Jean) Dunmeyer and Mrs. Blaine M. (Nellie) Pletcher, all of Rockwood RD 3; and Jack I. of Markleton RD 1; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, Nikki. He was a brother of: Lloyd and Emerson, both of Rockwood RD 3; Lester of Normalville; Calvin Mill Run; Mrs. Dean (Evelyn) King of Markleton; and Dorothy Homer of Ft. Myers, Fla. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, where he served as superintendent of the Sunday School for many years. Also a Sunday school teacher for 50 years. He was a member of the Scullton Rod and Gun Club; retired sawmiller and construction worker. Friends were received at the Wilbur D. Miller Funeral Home, where a funeral service was held with the Rev. Steve Cordle officiating. Interment, Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery. The Republic, March 22, 1984 [P0680]
