  PLETCHER
  
  Esther Pletcher, 74, of Rockwood RD 1, died Oct. 22, 1996, in
  Somerset Hospital.  Born Sept. 3, 1921, in Somerset County, daughter
  of the late Elijah and Mary (Cook) Hoover.  Preceded in death by her
  husband, Orlo Pletcher Sr., on April 6, 1985.  Survived by the
  following children: Mary, wife of Alvin Knopsnyder; Wanda, wife of
  Eugene Judy; Orlo Jr., married to the former Bonnie Popernack;
  Sanford, married to the former Virginia Syphrit, and Mona Singer, all
  of Rockwood RD 1; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one
  great-great-grandchild.  Also survived by these brothers and sisters:
  Charley Hoover, Somerset RD 5; Frank Hoover of Hutchinson; Florence
  Kelly, Garrett RD 1; Paul Hoover, Garrett RD 2, and a very close
  friend, Devon Coleman.  Member of Somerset County Baptist Church.
  Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7
  to 9 p.m. Thursday in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where Service
  will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Pastor David Walker, and Rev.
  Larry Hoover.  Interment, Rockwood IOOF Cemetery.
