Pletcher, 89, Scullton, passed on May 22, 2007, at Somerset Hospital. Born Jan. 15, 1918, in Middlecreek Township, he is the son of the late Ira and Hazel (Gary) Pletcher. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Joanna, in 1980; daughters, Olive Hinkle, Brenda Cox and Patricia Brewer; grandson, Donald Hinkle; sister, Mardelle Louden; and brother, Clark Pletcher. He is survived by his sons, Larry and wife, Dorothy, Scullton; Edmund, West Virginia; and Frank Jr. and wife, Marlene, Scullton; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchil-dren; and sisters, Mabel Stenger and Violet Walsh. A member of the Greatest Generation, he served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Carpenters' Union Local 2274. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Rockwood, where a service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Boyd Race officiating.
