Pletcher, 92, Markleton, went to be with the Lord Aug. 17, 2007, at Somerset Hospital. Born Nov. 1, 1914, in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, a son of Elmer and Maude (Faidley) Pletcher. Preceded in death by parents, brothers, Abe, Roy and Ralph and sisters, Grace Faidley and Ethel Vough. He is survived by wife of 70 years, Annabelle (Nicklow) Pletcher and four generations, daughters, Loretta Henry and husband, Ralph Jr., Markleton; Eileen Friedline and husband, Roger, Friedens; Karen Clevenger and husband, Douglas, Markleton; grand- children, Brett Henry, Markleton; Bradley Henry, Somerset; Lisa Schartiger, Avonmore; Lynn Clevenger, and wife, Margaret, Mississippi; great-grandchildren, Cassie (Schartiger) Villi, Alaska; Danielle (Schartiger) Kurpiewski, Irwin; Justin and Noah Clevenger, Mississippi; great great-grandchildren, Shawn, Cole and Mason. Brother, Harry Pletcher, Florida; and sister, Ruby Nicklow, Ohio and wonderful caregiver, Cindy Hay. John worked as an operator at Station 22 Rockwood for War Emergency Pipeline. He also was a coal miner, and timber cutter until his retirement. He was an avid hunter, and especially enjoyed hunting groundhogs. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service, Monday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence. The Rev. Douglas Baker officiating.
