Pletcher Sr., 69, Rockwood RD 1, died April 6, 1985, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born Aug. 22, 1915, in Milford Township, a son of Wesley and Mary (Dunmeyer) Pletcher. Survived by his wife, Esther (Hoover) Pletcher, Rockwood RD 1; two sons: Orlo Jr., and Sanford C., both Rockwood RD 1; these daughters: Mrs. Alvin (Mary) Knopsnyder, Mrs. Eugene (Wanda) Judy, Mrs. Ronald (Mona Lisa) Singer, all of Rockwood RD 1; two foster children: Vicki Weller, and Larry Pritts, both of Somerset; one brother, Russell, Rockwood RD 1; four sisters: Miss Edna Pletcher, Mrs. Alda Beener, Mrs. Irene Klink, and Mrs. Olive Kalp, all of Rockwood RD 1; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. His death terminates a marriage union of 47 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. He was a member of the A.A.R.P., retired carpenter, Local 2274, Sunday School teacher for 34 years at Blackfield, a member of the Christian Gospel Tabernacle. Friends will be received at the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, from 7-9 p.m. Monday and 2.4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, where services will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Arnold Ansell officiating. Interment, Rockwood I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of the William J. Wood Funeral Home, Rockwood, with Robert H. Halverson supervising.
